Temple

BTBA was established in July of 2019. However, the main religious leader of BTBA,  whose Buddhist name is Gadu Rinpoche, has led many people to practice Buddhism in Taiwan for more than ten years. Currently, he has more than twenty large Buddhist centers and a large number of Dharma discourse listening centers in Taiwan. Since it has been proven that learning Buddhism and practicing self-cultivation can bring joy and happiness to people, Gadu Rinpoche hopes to benefit the people in the United States as well. That is why he established BTBA and planned to build a Buddhist temple.

The temple is planned to be constructed in Hesperia, California (Buddhist Town) and will host various religious activities:

  • Regular group-cultivation sessions;
  • Dharma discourse listening sessions (temple opening hours);
  • Dharma book reading sessions (temple opening hours);
  • Sutras reading class;
  • Dharma discourse listening class;
  • Social welfare/community service activities;
  • Prayers for and release of captive animals (non-regular, or on special days, such as H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s birthday, and other);
  • Celebration of Buddhist holidays (Shakyamuni Buddha’s Birthday, Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s Birthday, and other);
  • Disseminate the Dharma activities (non-regular);
  • Dharma assemblies (non-regular).

By attending various activities in that temple in the future, people living in the U.S. can also have the opportunity to learn Buddhism, benefit from their studies, and then affect their relatives and friends around them to bring peace and happiness to society.
